Work

I am employed by Fidelity National Title Company.
It is a Title and Escrow company.

It is the work I actually get paid for doing.

I used to work in Escrow. Escrow is a neutral third party that handles the documents, money, phone calls, signings, etc. of selling, buying and refinancing homes. It is a demanding and stressful job. I am a Notary, but I will only notarize signatures for work purposes.

Now that I am a mom I get to work part-time and part of that time is from home. I work in the Reconveyance department. A reconveyance is a document that is recorded to release a Trust Deed, as proof that someone does not owe that lender or person money anymore. I input every closed Escrow transaction in the Reconveyance database throughout the month at home and I go in to the office, downtown, every Thursday to help with whatever they need to get caught up on. I really enjoy it.

In 2001, after I had Dominick, I went back to work when Dominick was 3 months. I went to work part-time in the Reconveyance department, which was in a warehouse at that time in Milwaukie (close to home). A few older ladies worked there and I brought Dominick and a playpen with me. They loved being "grandmas" to him. And we stopped at Starbucks to visit Auntie Resh on the way to work!

Dominick at work:

In 2002-2003, When I was pregnant with Brianna I worked in Escrow again, still part-time.

Now I am back in the Reconveyance department, working at home, with Isaac playing in the playpen next to me.

i was wondering if you were still working with fidelity. cool that you're able to keep your job with all the real estate craziness and very cool that you get to do it with your kids!

I can't believe you can keep it all up. Such a great outlet though. Way to go!
