What's New Year's Eve without puking out the car door in a Rite Aid parking lot at 10pm?! We're not party animals, so let me explain. My sweet hubby had to spend the last day of the year on "mommy duty" at the hospital while I underwent a long awaited surgical procedure that results in, but not the reason for it, no more kids for us. I was a little nervous since I have never had anesthesia and everyone reacts and recovers differently from it. Ty and Isaac were with me until they wheeled me out of the pre-op room, then Ty had to take over feeding Isaac and changing diapers (2 stinkers! ;-) I fell asleep at 12:30 and woke up at 2 with a headache and pain. My doctor knew I was determined to go home that night so I didn't have an IV pain pump, like morphine. I could go home if I could keep a pain pill down so they gave me a percoset. After 2 percosets and 4 hours of pain I realized it just didn't work for me so they gave me a vicodin. Around 7:30 the pain was becoming tolerable so we got ready to leave. Of course, we didn't get out of there until after 9:30. On the way home we stopped by Rite Aid to pick up more vicodin and that's when all the pain killers in my stomach finally got to me. I'm spending this week in bed watching movies with the kids, reading and writing some posts!
And, alas, the day before the surgery we discovered our refrigerator had stopped working! Many thanks and blessings to those who are bringing us dinner. Love y'all!

Rest and relax! This will be a great time of movie watching and do-nothing-days. You are beautiful Kari (no make up and stunning...right...after...surgery!). I love these picts.
Call if you need me.
what a weekend! man, glad you have a crew to help you get some good bed time, movies and books do go a long way in the healing process...not to mention jello :)
You're the toughest chick I know so I'm certain you'll be fine but we are praying for a quick & healthy recovery. Also...you sure do have a sweet hubby :) Love you...Resh.
Hope you are recovering well and getting plenty of rest. Happy New Year!
