Out of Gas

I made it through the second week of school and soccer and everything else...barely.

If you heard me talk this week you might be thinking the "out of gas" refers to me! Lack of sleep is settling in and my Demi Moore voice is back. But I keep pressing on.
Philippians 3:14.

No, I literally ran out of gas this week! The first time in my life, I stepped on the gas pedal and the car slowed down. I had to coast to the side of the road. I should start at the beginning...

Thursday was a crazy day running around here and there, getting kids to and from school and getting ready for the first home soccer game.

With Bri & Isaac in the car, I picked up Sandra at 1:45 and continued to make several stops.

We went to Tyler's work to pick up the trailer hitch covers we are selling as a soccer fundraiser:
designed by tyler lewis.
parts donated by cr brophy and
ww metal fab .

The closest Fred Meyer gas station (where I get 10 cents off/gallon!) is by Tyler's work so I was planning to fill-up on the way back home. After leaving Tyler's work I was thinking, what else is on my calendar....OMG, DOMINICK! Dom gets out of school at 2:20 and it was 2:40 and I was at least 15 minutes away! I called the school to let them know I was on my way. At least I wasn't the last parent to pick-up (only 2nd to last).

I didn't get gas.

Friday was a very busy day, again, and I just forgot I needed to get gas. So there I was on Oatfield Road, with Sandra and Dominick, just past Roethe, taking up part of the lane, as school buses and Putnam high-schoolers and parents tried to get around me. Mackie came to my rescue. She picked us up, took us to fill up a gas can, dropped me and Sandra off to put gas in my car and off we went to continue our busy day.

At least we could laugh about it!

I think I would have been in a complete panic. SO glad you were rescued. Hope you have a good week.
