Today was the first day of teaching preschool for me!
LOVED IT!
Thankfully, my mom was able to watch Isaac and Brianna.
Unfortunately I am back to seeking daycare for Isaac.
YMCA daycare sounded so positive and wanting to help with my situation. I waited 2 weeks after submitting the scholarship/discount request and had to call them this week. The lady that handles it couldn't find my paperwork so she had to call me back. Then all she said is I don't qualify because my husband makes too much. If she had told me this 2 weeks ago I would have more time to find other daycare. And, yah, we have never qualified for WIC or for reduced lunches, etc. We have always payed full price for everything but we also always live paycheck to paycheck and since I was laid off (from a job I had for 12 years which helped pay for some of our bills) the preschool income has become a necessity.
If I pay regular price for daycare for Isaac I will be paying MORE than I will be making teaching preschool! Does that make any sense??!!
I sent a letter to YMCA with my paperwork and scholarship request that went something like this: I hope you are able to help me with my need for daycare as I have been blessed with an opportunity to start teaching preschool. When I signed up for it I was still working for Fidelity and could have paid for daycare but now I do not have that income. I am going from making 700 a month with no daycare because I worked from home to making only 400 a month and needing daycare. I hope it will work out for Isaac to go here.
LOL!!!!
