Tuesdays

Tuesdays are a hard enough day for me, so another car problem just made the day harder.

On Tuesdays I leave home by 7:40, drop off Sandra at 7:50, drop off Dom & Bri at 8:00, drop off Isaac at 8:15, get to Preschool by 8:30, leave Preschool at 1pm, pick up Isaac at 1:15, pick up Brianna at 1:30, pick up Sandra at 1:45 (unless she stays for D block until 3:15), pick up Dom at 2:20, home...then a soccer game at GHS or away, take Sandra to dance practice, input AVON orders and anything else that needs to be done, like housecleaning (ha!), kids' homework (we're struggling on that right now), and cooking dinner (or picking up fast food)!

Today I parked in Anna's driveway to pick up Brianna at 1:30. I tried to leave but the same problem happened-it wouldn't come out of park! I called roadside assistance. When they told me the tow-truck would be there in 90 minutes I freaked. Lucky Anna could drop me off at my dealership on her way to pick up her own kids. Unlucky all the rentals were already rented out. Double-unlucky, my cell phone battery just died so I didn't know any one's phone number to call. Dom needed to be picked up so I called Tyler who called the Trosts who graciously came to my rescue again! Thank you. After standing inside Suzuki service for an hour (with a very energetic, loud Isaac), they let me use one of their used cars from the sales lot. I was able to pick up Sandra by 3:15 and get Dom from the Trosts.

The next day I learned the problem causing the brake light electrical shortage was an improperly installed wire harness for the hitch; the wires were too close to the muffler and they burnt. I had to go to Uhaul, who gladly installed new wires for me at no charge and I'm waiting to hear if they will reimburse me for the cost I had to pay Suzuki for finding this problem. :-)

(At the rest stop in Albany on Monday)
