Soccer Season has begun

Gladstone HS Varsity boys had their first game Tuesday, September 8th. They won 3-1 against Elmira! Thursday they travelled to Lincoln City to play Taft, "a top 15 team in Oregon, a good test for the team", and tied 1-1 (should have been 1-0 since the ref called Taft's goal offsides but the center ref overruled.) good result, nonetheless. Today was the Catlin Gabel tournament and they played Astoria, De La Salle, Valley Catholic and Rex Putnam. Lost 2, Tied 1 and Won 1. It's been a good start to the 2009 season! I didn't go to the tournament this year, not just because it is a long, hot day and who knows what mess Isaac would get into this year, but...Brianna had her first Micro soccer game for this year! She is the 4th from the right. Looks like she had a lot of fun, big smile! :)

Dom is taking a year off but we watched his teammates, U9 Gladstone boys, and best friend Konnor's game today. It is such a difference from Micro to U9, but it's all about having fun and I always say, it's just a game!
