Lately, I have been obsessed with Leaves. Yes, leaves. Looking for perfect yellow, red or orange leaves that have fallen from the trees. For preschool art projects. But I keep obsessing and collecting and you might find leaf art all over my house come Thanksgiving! I can't wait until all the leaves have fallen and are raked up so I can quit obsessing.
I am like this, too, about Heaven. We were not created to live in this sinful world, with all the problems we face every day. We were made to live with a perfect God, in a perfect place, *Heaven* I will obsess about it until the day I finally arrive. I can't wait!

This concept is very important. The key to all the crazy good things that have happened to me in the last year hang on the basic concept here... don't pursue God half-heartedly. Pursue Him relentlessly, like He pursues us! It makes no sense to do otherwise. What, will He suddenly make everything easy for us when we call on Him once? No, we have to call Him every minute, in need of nothing short of rescue! It helps to be weak and in need. To have all one's needs met "in the world" makes it harder to want to put much effort into pursuing God... except when one small thing goes wrong, and we whine... half-heartedly. No more!
